Mobile unlocking

All mobile phone operators these days apply sim locking software to all mobile phones they sell. The reason behind simlock is simple and two fold, firstly the network providers want to restrict what countries the handsets are used in due to pricing, secondly and more important for them they want to make sure you can’t easily switch networks to obtain a cheaper tariff. Locked phones are virtually impossible for the end user to unlock. No matter which country you purchase a mobile handset in you will find its locked to one network.
All mobile phones can in fact be unlocked to accept any sim card, however there may be some features of the new airtime provider may not be supported by your particular handset. Sim locks were originally only applied to contract mobiles, purely there to stop customers signing up for a contract one day, removing the sim the next and disappearing with an expensive handsets.
However all you need to unlock a mobile handset is an unlocking code, mobile unlocking is not as complicated as it sounds. These codes can be obtained in two main ways, firstly you can visit one of the many mobile unlocking websites around today, usually very efficient and cheap, obtain the code and unlock within minutes. This process will provide a code, once entered the process is permanent and will remove all locks. Secondly you can send your phone away to a dedicated unlocker or find one on the high street and take your phone there in person, this is a more expensive method but is considered a bit old hat these days, especially when you can unlock from the comfort of your own armchair.
You will know instantly if your handset is locked to a network, simply try and insert a sim card from a different provider, you will see a message saying invalid sim, you may see a secondary message asking for the unlock code we have been discussing. As soon as you have entered the correct unlock code, the new sim will work perfectly, congratulations you now own a sim free mobile phone.
Do beware if you enter the wrong code five times your phone will go into permalock mode and will be totally useless, so please don’t guess your code!, use a professional mobile unlocking service,.
